This role involves hybrid working – some time on campus and some from home. This replacement full–time post is available from immediately on a permanent basis.
Summary of the role
We are looking for a highly effective data analyst to join our award winning team to help make the University’s work to recruit and support under represented students as effective as possible. The Access, Participation and Outreach Team leads the University’s work on access and participation and engages with schools and students through outreach activities, educational and fair access programmes, online activities and campus events. This postholder will work within an enthusiastic and high-achieving team supporting colleagues across the University and leading our evidence-based approach through the production of reports/briefings, analysis, modelling and presentations. You will have lots of opportunities to develop your skillsets within the role, present your findings to senior colleagues and be part of university policy decisions. With proven experience of data analysis to produce reports and recommendations on policy and/or service provision, the successful applicant will be highly organised and able to communicate complex information confidently and effectively to a wide range of stakeholders.

Access, Participation and Outreach
Our award winning Access, Participation and Outreach Team works with learners, schools and partners to widen access to higher education, support student recruitment, and enable students to achieve their potential within an inclusive educational environment. Leading on the University’s Access and Participation Plan, the team works with thousands of students each year to support their attainment and make informed decisions about their future. An important focus is building and maintaining effective relationships with schools and colleges in the South West and across the UK to support student recruitment. We attend hundreds of events all over the country each year, delivering information, advice and guidance. Our flagship fair access programme, Exeter Scholars, provides places for around 1,000 student from under-represented and disadvantaged backgrounds each year. The team organises and runs the University’s fair access and international summer school provision, welcoming around 600 students on campus each year on immersive educational programmes. We also work with colleagues across the University to support student outcomes, leading the Success for All programme, which aims aims to build a diverse and inclusive learning environment.
