We have a fantastic new job opportunity for a Support Worker and Driver that has a full, clean driving licence and some basic administrative skills.
Working as the Support Worker and Driver / Employee Access Assistant you will be driving and supporting a visually impaired Qualified Vision Rehabilitation Specialist on a day-to-day basis, enabling them to carry out their duties efficiently and effectively.
As the Support Worker and Driver / Employee Access Assistant you will form a close and trusting working relationship with the supported person, and having a person-centred approach, good communication skills and flexibility and understanding are extremely important.

This role is 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday, 35 hours per week, with 26 days paid holiday (excluding bank holidays) a year. Travel to Liverpool will be required for this role, but this role is based in South Cheshire.

Candidate profile
Essential
- Computer literate with a good knowledge of all Microsoft Office packages
- Excellent listening and communication skills particularly verbal.
- Proven, demonstratable ability to take a person-centred approach, build trust and work in a close one to one working relationship.
- Functional level of English and Maths to enable fulfilment of role requirements such as notetaking.
- Evidence of dealing with confidential issues sensitively and with total integrity.
- Positive, team player, flexible and thorough in ways of working
- Proven ability to use initiative and able to work effectively under pressure
- Good interpersonal skills are essential as the role will require a close working relationship with the person being supported.
- Excellent planning and organisation skills.
- Self-motivated and able to work on own initiative.
- Effective time management skills.
