What will you do?
Reporting to the Warehouse Supervisor - The main responsibilities of this position include operating flexibly in a warehouse team working environment; performance standards are met, whilst promoting safe working practices. Assist the warehouse teams to load/unload goods in/out the warehouse using the appropriate MHE, whilst ensuring all company Health & Safety practices are adhered to.
Objectives of the role as Warehouse Team Leader (Rotating Weeks) include, but not limited to:
- To assist with the management of the warehouse team.
- To step up and support the Warehouse Supervisor in their absence and when requested.
- To check customers inbound/outbound deliveries and products creating an environment that ensures customers can rely upon 100% accuracy and timely dispatch of finished goods placed in our care.
- To always work in a way that safeguards both your personal safety and the safety of all who work in the warehouse.
- Accurate completion of all outbound and inbound paperwork.
- Other tasks in support of the warehouse operation as directed/requested.
- To ensure that all company policies are complied with, in particular those that relate to H&S.
- To complete promptly and accurately all relative paperwork.
- To report immediately any breach of security, emergencies or accidents.
- To act as a positive ambassador for Howard Tenens both in appearance and attitude.
- Ensure effective communication between all departments and maximum availability.
Your CV and experience show:
- Previous experience in supervisory or team leadership.
- The possession of MHE (Flexi & Counterbalance) Counterbalance required as minimum.
- Good PC literacy and the ability to use the systems applicable to the warehouse or the capability to use them after suitable training.
- Knowledge of the safe systems of work specified for the warehouse and of the H&S policies/procedures that apply to the company premises and its operations.
- Ability to work in a small team and with minimal supervision to consistently produce results that hit the targets agreed upon with our customers or set by the company.
- The flexibility to adapt and manage change.
- To work at pace and prioritise a varied and demanding workload.
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: £24,500.00-£26,000.00 per year
