Ipswich Town Football Club are seeking a Academy Tutor, providing tutoring across U13-U16's academy players. Delivering one and a half hour sessions four days per week. The successor will be responsible for supporting in the delivery of and developing students education, provided by the individuals school.
Reporting directly to the Head of Education and subsequently the Assistant Academy manager.
The Tutor will be responsible for supporting in the delivery of and developing students education, provided by the individuals school.
Areas of accountability:
· Student Education
· Classroom management
· Student engagement
· Grounds
· Support the engagement of student learning through facilitating them with work provided from their full-time education provider.
· Liaise with head of education on progress and development of individual students.
· Remain up to date with current subject knowledge and ensure understanding of core subjects from years 8 to 11.
Duties in this role include:
· Support students educational needs and requirements.
· Support the delivery of subject material provided by the full-time educational provider.
· Ensure students complete allocated work and are handing into the education provider.
· Provide students with a safe and effective working environment allowing them to concentrate on their studies.
· Collect attendance and registration information and provide to educational lead.
· Alert head of education of any missing students and follow appropriate procedures.
· Monitor student progress and highlight any issues concerning students education and/or educational needs.
