£80-£90 daily rate

LTF are currently partnering with several schools across the Nottingham region to appoint an Applied Behaviour Analysis Teaching Assistant. This full-time role is available for an immediate start and for the right person will be made permanent.

Main duties of the role include:

• To deliver high quality teaching support working directly with a child with autism in a mainstream school.
• To work as part of a classroom team providing behaviourally based instruction to a child with autism and related communication disorders.
• Implementing ABA principles to provide therapy to children with cognitive and adaptive problems.
• Organising interventions to benefit the learning of students
• Implement strategies to support individual needs of the students which will include ABA, Speech and Language
• Review and record all child progress
• Build positive relationships with children, staff, and parents

The ideal candidate will have:

• A relevant degree or equivalent qualification.
• Experience working with children in a school environment is desirable
• An excellent understanding of special educational needs including ASD, ADHD, challenging behaviour, and developmental delays.
• Calming mannerisms in challenging situations.
• The ability to think and act quickly both as part of a team and independently.
• Strong behaviour management skills while creating a fun learning environment.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
