At Henkel we do not run our own fleet, so we are looking for a skilled and enthusiastic individual who is experienced in managing 3rd party transport partners supplying us with our customer delivery service.

YOUR ROLE

  • Coaching and managing team of Transport Co-ordinators in all aspects of customer delivery arrangements and day to day carrier management
  • Negotiating rates and running service contract tenders with 3rd party Transport suppliers
  • Managing 3rd party Transport providers to ensure customer shipments are cost effectively delivered on time
  • Driving KPI performance improvements with 3rd party transport providers
  • Transport provider invoice approval and spend tracking / reporting
  • Ensuring all relevant customs requirements are understood and export shipping paperwork is produced correctly
  • Driving continuous improvement initiatives and projects with external transport providers to improve service, cost & digitalization

YOUR SKILLS

  • At least 3 years of previous experience in a Transport / logistics role or similar
  • Great attention to detail, time management and organisation skills.
  • Logistics Degree preferred
  • Excellent customer service experience is essential.
  • Diplomacy and excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Experience of working in a fast-paced environment
  • Literate and be proficient in the MS Office Suite, Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
  • A team player with a positive “can do” attitude at all times.
