Who are we?
A & J Scott Ltd is a family owned, leading independent home-grown sawmill based at Wooperton, between Alnwick and Wooler. We have invested heavily in state-of-the-art sawmill equipment in the last decade and we have plans to develop further production facilities on site in the next two years to meet consistent and growing demand.

What matters to us most is that you have a positive attitude to work, and you ensure that everything you move, or load is of a quality expected by our customers. You will take pride in your work and pay great attention to detail.
Our 360 operators work on our brand-new state of the art Log Grading facility, 360/Crane experience is preferred, however we will provide full training to the right candidate
You will observe safety and security standards and work to quality standards. You will also be motivated to achieve daily targets.
You will be flexible and willing to learn and train in other departments as and when demand dictates.
This position may include some physical work and involves working inside and outside.

If your 360/crane certificate has expired, we are able to provide an in-house training and certification process.
Shifts
The company operates shift patterns which differ depending on which location you will be working within the site. Our normal working days are mainly Monday to Friday and overtime may be available depending on customer demand.
