PROGRAM DETAILS
Capstone's 2024 Summer Internship is a 10–12-week summer program. You will be given a project that is both educational and a value add to the business, at the end of the summer you will present your project to the senior leadership team. Throughout the program you will attend educational sessions given by senior leadership, we will host team building exercises and encourage relationship building with the firm. At the end of the summer, we will have a send-off lunch to close out the program and thank you for all your hard work.
Department
The Operations team can be seen as the engine room of the fund and helps the organization function smoothly. Some of the core responsibilities maintained by the Operations team are reconciling positions, valuations and cash against our administrator. The team are also involved with a wide range of other tasks such as, new fund launches, new product development, portfolio manager onboarding, and various ad hoc projects to meet new regulatory requirements. Undertaking these tasks requires the team to liaise closely Middle Office, Fund Accounting, Legal and other internal departments.
DESIRABLE CANDIDATES:
- Current undergraduates pursuing studies in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Displays a high standard of accuracy and attention to detail
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Advanced Excel, VBA and/or programming knowledge is a plus
