Inside Sales Internship Position
We’re looking for an ambitious and intellectually curious student to join our team on a summer internship to learn, grow and contribute to our goal of a better tomorrow.
This 8-week internship position will be within our Inside Sales team. Our team is responsible for driving disciplined application of our Sales Process collaborating with all stakeholders (including all levels of Inside Sales, Outside Sales, operations, management, and marketing). At a high level, Inside Sales is expected to:
- Develop and advance customer relationships prior to opportunity identification (Opening Game)
- Work with the capture team to strategically position the company for specific opportunities (Middle Game)
- Develop high-quality, opportunity-specific response documents / presentations / interviews with competitive and compelling sales messages to satisfy customer business goals (End Game).
We get involved in a variety of activities so you can expect a varied and dynamic internship with our team!
Your role as an Inside Sales intern:
- Actively work within sales to develop and implement opportunity action plans, e.g. document due diligence in opportunity brief, develop Win Plan (Gaps to Value Proposition), SWOT analysis, and Executive Summary, Go/No Go and strategy review
- Assist in planning and organizing elements of End Game, e.g. analyze customer request, develop response plan (Bid & Proposal budget, response team, compliance check-list, response outline, schedule), support Go/No Go, Pink Team reviews, kick-off meetings, working with team to develop response sections, refine Executive Summary, participate in progress reviews, participate in Red Team reviews, incorporate Red Team input, assist with on-time delivery of response
- Work with inside/outside sales and operating segments to identify response requirements and develop a realistic approach and schedule for the response, and monitor progress against plan
- Help translate the Win Strategy into key themes and drive them into sales documents through a disciplined storyboarding process that articulates compelling sales messages with benefits statements, graphics, and proofs
- Work with Inside Sales, Sales Lead, Capture Manager and Operations to assist with B&P estimate and approval, regularly monitoring B&P spending, and report any significant variances
- Work with Inside Sales, Sales Lead, Capture Manager and Operations to develop innovative solutions, or leverage corporate network to identify existing capabilities, that respond to customer challenges and create a distinctive competitive advantage
- Assist on proposals ranging from highly complex bids that may cross multiple offices, business streams, be joint ventures, or be large values, in excess of $100M to small opportunities for 1 location
- Participate in the handover of successful proposals to the project team
- Participate in tasks to gain knowledge and experience for future career development
- Develop awareness of relevant customer and business management
- Liaise with and develop an appreciation of other functional departments, project personnel, vendors, customers, etc.
- Adhere to Company policies and procedures
- Adhere to safety standards as required by the company and individual safety contracts

- You will be in your penultimate or final year of study looking to achieve a degree (or equivalent) in a business, commercial or marketing related discipline
- Our internship programmes are intended for those with minimal to no experience in their chosen field and for those are still studying at university. If you have more than 2+ years paid in-industry experience in this field and/or have already graduated we would recommend applying for our other opportunities
