The CAS Assistant role is based within the Admissions and Enquiry Service at GCU and will work closely with the Admissions Officers (CAS) and report to the Admissions Manager (CAS). The Admissions and Enquiry Service are responsible for responding to enquiries from prospective students, as well as responsible for making decisions on applications submitted for postgraduate and undergraduate study at GCU along with assisting with the student visa process for international students with the issue of a CAS.
This role will involve providing support, advice and guidance to applicants in relation to the Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies (CAS) processes at GCU in adherence with university procedures and UKVI regulations (Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies (CAS) is one of the documents international applicants require to apply for a visa to study in the UK).
The successful individual will have responsibility for providing effective and efficient administrative support and mailbox management to the Admissions Service with specific focus on assisting CAS Data Checks and CAS in adherence with university procedures and UKVI regulations. In addition, you may be required to undertake cross-team duties within the wider Recruitment and Admissions directorate and ensuring excellent customer service at all times.
You will have strong administrative and organisational skills, ideally gained within a Higher Education environment. You will thrive in a busy and demanding environment that requires the ability to multi-task effectively, and work to deadlines and KPIS, whilst maintaining a high level of accuracy. You will also have strong customer service experience with good decision-making and problem-solving skills.
