1x FlipSide Project Worker
Full Time Post-2 years fixed term
Flipside is a partnership project between The Warren Youth Project and Cornerhouse. We aim to reduce the number of young people entering the Criminal Justice System through trauma informed support and access to creative expression.
Our mission statement:
'An integrated, trauma informed approach to provide support and promote opportunities that puts the young person at the centre. FlipSide aims to reduce the risk of exploitation and decrease the number of young people entering the Criminal Justice System.'
The types of young people we support include:
-Young people who are known to the police or have been given a community resolution order
- Young people who are at risk of being exploited, both criminally and sexually
- Young people who are at risk of peer-to-peer exploitation
- Young people displaying behaviours that could lead to them becoming perpetrators
-Young people who identify as neurodiverse and are at risk
-Young people who are in care and are at risk
-Young people who regularly go missing and are at risk
The person for this role will have experience in supporting young people on a one-to-one basis as well as in small groups, in a person-centred way. They will have experience working with complex risks and needs and be flexible and creative in the support they offer.
Key details of this role include:
- Managing a caseload of young people
- Working with the support networks around the young person when necessary
- Linking into other projects in The Warren, Cornerhouse and other young people’s services to allow young people to have more power and choice over their own lives
- Working with the support networks around the young person when necessary
- Collecting and collating relevant information and data and reporting this succinctly on our data monitoring system
