ASSET for Virtual Schools is seeking a 1st Line IT Helpdesk Officer to support our end users.
We are an award-winning, evidence-based provider of assessment and evaluation, working to achieve educational excellence.
Key Responsibilities and Duties
- Working from home to support Local Authorities and Schools using email and phone to answer queries and liaising with colleagues to solve problems
- Collaborating with the team members, Local Authorities, and developers to expand our web-based application.
- Providing an outstanding service to exceed our clients’ expectations.
- Supporting during the annual IT Health Check
- Supporting filling up the tender application
- Supporting our ISO-27001. Full training will be provided.
- Collecting attendance from school via data extraction tool and/or phone call. (Full training is provided)
Essential Requirements:
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Excel Inc. Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP
- Good interpersonal skills
- Ability to communicate effectively with clients.
- Good level of literacy
- Exceptional IT Skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Logical with a methodical approach to achieving tasks and objectives.
- Ability to work independently or as a team member.
- Well organised and with good time management skills

We are looking for a 1st Line Support Engineer to join our IT team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing technical support to customers, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, and responding to customer inquiries in a timely manner. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a strong technical background, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Respond to customer inquiries and provide technical support.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues.
- Provide guidance and advice to customers on software, hardware, and other technical issues.
- Identify and escalate priority issues to the appropriate team.
- Monitor customer service requests and ensure timely resolution.
- Provide feedback to customers on their technical inquiries.
- Maintain records of customer interactions and transactions.
