Your role

We are looking for a SOC Analyst to play a key role in the delivery of our complex Cyber Security solutions offering.

Please note, this is a shift-based role, therefore you will be required to work a combination of nights and days but will be compensated with a shift allowance.

All candidates will need to live within a commutable distance from the SOC’s location in Warrington.

Your Experience

Previous experience working in a Security Operations Centre is not essential for this role but experienced candidates would be preferred.

· Ability to resolve escalations from other team members and will have a good knowledge of their working area, ITIL processes (specifically incident and change management), and required technical skills.

· An understanding of the customer’s environment and service delivery requirements to enable the delivery of a first-class service.

· Technical capable of learning new technologies and passing relevant exams

· Able to work under limited supervision, supporting technical queries related to a SIEM and IDS technologies

· Problem Solving - Takes ownership for listening to and understanding basic customer problems asking relevant questions to resolve typically known problems within required timescales. Receives escalations from less experienced team members and knows when to further escalate

· This is an entry level position, and while there are no qualifications that are deemed essential for the role, any of the below would be beneficial

· A degree, or equivalent, in Cyber Security

· CompTIA Network+

· CompTIA Security+

· Microsoft SC900

· SANS SEC275 Foundations

· ISC2 Certified in Cybersecurity
