We are delighted to invite applications for the opportunity to work in an exciting, innovative service in NHS Lothian. The Psychology Service for Health and Care Staff offers psychological support, interventions and training to staff working in health and social care roles in the Lothians. The service was set up in February 2021 in response to the impact of the pandemic on individuals working on the frontline. In the last year, our service has already received great feedback from staff, and made a tangible difference to the lives of many people.
We are seeking an individual to work in this service in a band 5 assistant psychologist position at 0.8 WTE. The post holder will be delivering low level interventions, such as guided self-help to health and care staff, under the supervision of an applied psychologist. The successful applicant will also be responsible for administrative tasks to support the day to day running of the service, as well as having a key role in audits, quantitative and qualitative evaluation of the service, and contribution to research.
This post requires the post holder to have a PVG Scheme membership/ record. If the post holder is not a current PVG member for the required regulatory group (i.e. child and/or adult) then an application will need to be made to Disclosure Scotland and deemed satisfactory before they can begin in post.
Please note: As this post is part-time the salary will be pro-rata.
