This post requires the post holder to have a PVG Scheme membership/ record. If the post holder is not a current PVG member for the required regulatory group (i.e. child and/or adult) then an application will need to be made to Disclosure Scotland and deemed satisfactory before they can begin in post.

The vision for the Pharmacy & Medicines service is to deliver clinically led, person-centred services to ensure patients across Lothian get the best from their medicines and pharmacy services. We are looking for enthusiastic, motivated individuals to work within the technical team as a Pharmacy Support Worker – higher level. As a pharmacy support worker within hospital services you’ll be part of well-established teams delivering high quality pharmaceutical care to patients. You’ll participate in assisting in the provision of a range of technical pharmacy services. This will involve competencies within the dispensary, distribution and clinical.
The successful candidate must be educated to SCQF Level 6 with relevant work experience in a healthcare or pharmacy environment. The completion of an in-house competency-based Group Award accredited via Edinburgh College within 12 months of commencing the post will also be required. The completion of in-house training programme to demonstrate competency for role will also be required.
