- Based on an agreement between its Global Investment Banking and Structured Finance departments, CA-CIB has established a team dedicated to M&A in the Infrastructure & Power sectors. The team reports to the Head of GIB Sectors based in Paris with coordination and report locally into the Global Head of Infrastructure (SFI) based in London. This team is called M&A London – Power & Infrastructure
- The M&A London Power & Infrastructure team is responsible with leading the origination and execution of M&A mandates in the infrastructure and power sectors in EMEA
Principal accountabilities of the Intern
- Working as part of CA-CIB’s Global Investment Banking division, the intern should contribute to the origination and execution of M&A transactions within the Power & Infrastructure sectors, including
- Review in-house training materials to get up to speed on valuations and other M&A skills;
- Seek and receive guidance from other P&I bankers on technical aspects;
- Attend team meetings and participate in the day-to-day life of the department.
Legal and Regulatory Responsibilities
Comply with all applicable legal, regulatory and internal Compliance requirements, including, but not limited to, the London Compliance manual and the Financial Crime Policy. Complete any mandatory training in line with legal, regulatory and internal Compliance requirements;- Maintain appropriate knowledge to ensure to be fully qualified to undertake the role. Complete all mandatory training as required to attain and maintain competence;
- Refrain from taking any steps which could lead to the removal of certification of fitness and propriety to perform the role;
- Comply with all applicable conduct rules as prescribed by the relevant regulator.
SPECIAL ROLE REQUIREMENTS:
- Pre-existing knowledge of M&A
- Team player and self-motivated
- Education/Specialization: Tier 1 Business School, Engineering School or University with Finance specialisation

· Understanding of corporate finance and investment banking· Strong computer skills (Excel and PowerPoint in particular)
