The University of Portsmouth’s Student Wellbeing Service offers integrated emotional, psychological and mental health support to students in order to help them succeed in their studies. A multi-disciplinary team of professional clinical and support practitioners contributes extensive experience, knowledge and skills from a range of professional backgrounds, including counselling/ psychotherapy, psychology, occupational therapy, social work, mental health nursing, youth work, and drug & alcohol support.
For the Head of Wellbeing (Counselling and Mental Health) role, we are seeking a highly experienced practitioner with the vision to lead and develop our service. You will have extensive experience of working in a senior position as a counsellor or mental health practitioner and have strong leadership skills and an ability to implement and manage change. Ideally you will also have experience of managing and developing multidisciplinary teams in order to deliver effective support services for this client group.
