We are looking to recruit an experienced and caring Learning Support Assistant to join our school. The role will entail supporting an individual child with their learning, ensuring they are able to access all aspects of the curriculum and school life. You will be part of a team working closely alongside the class teacher and SENDCo. Support and supervision will also include some of the children’s lunch period.
The right candidate will:
- Have experience of working with children with Special Educational Needs
- Develop positive relationships with students, parents and staff
- Have an ability to work using their own initiative
- Have a high level of communication skills and the ability to relate positively to children and adults
- Adapt to changing situations and learn new skills
- Be resilient and have good behaviour management
- Be a team player and work closely with other staff members within the school
- Have knowledge of safeguarding policies and procedures
