Job Description
INTRODUCTION
The main aim of “Hear Me Out” at The Abrahamic Foundation is to facilitate in instilling a well- rounded base for children and young adults.
The objective is to create well rounded children & young adults in order to ensure that their understanding and development is met through a wide variety of means. Engaging them through the activities and events we hold, creating interesting, educational and creative learning through holistic means. We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated and reliable youth worker to engage and deliver services from 0 – 22
JOB DETAILS
The following is required from the successful applicant:
- To hold discussions around contemporary issues with females
- Hold discussions with students regarding issues that may be affecting them personally.
- Arrange and participate in social activities arranged for different age groups.
- Provide general guidance and mentorship.
- Report to the Centre Manager in regards to any issues and provide feedback.
- Undertaking other duties as may be reasonably required from your line manager
- Conduct professionalism at all times and co-operate with fellow colleagues.
- Motivate and stimulate children’s learning abilities.
- Providing a secure environment for young people to learn & grow
- Organising learning material, resources & activities for children.
- Ensuring the health and safety of children is maintained during all activities.
- Purchase items for activities
- Book events
- Attend and contribute to staff planning meetings
CANDIDATE SPECIFICATION
Requirements
Education/Qualification
- Hold or working towards a relevant Youth Work Qualification (Level 3 Minimum); to be achieved within 12 months of commencing in post. Recent experience of working face to face with young people.
- To be able to work individually and as part of a team
- Working with another youth worker to be able to deliver youth services.
Supervisory Responsibilities None
Supervision Received The post holder will receive day to day supervision from the Centre Manager
Special Conditions Working Hours The post holder will be required to work a flexible timetable.
DBD Enhanced Required
It is a requirement of your contract of employment that all holidays are taken outside the school terms.

Salary: £21,000.00-£24,000.00 per year
