SUPPORT WORKER JOB ADVERT
Living Waters Services Ltd (LWS) is a Social Care provider based in the UK, currently recruiting Support Workers to come and work in the UK on a Skilled Worker Visa (International candidates only!)
The role is to provide care and support in a supported living environment for vulnerable children and young people with experience of
- safeguarding children and young people with low, medium and high risk
- risk assessments
- initial and ongoing assessments
- formulating support or care plans
- working with children and young people with challenging behavior,
- working with children and young people with learning difficulties
- mental health
- alcohol and substance misuse in young people
Full training, induction and support are provided before commencing work. The ideal candidate needs;
- To be of a empathetic, caring and compassionate
- Have - at the minimum - A’ Level qualifications or equivalent. A social studies degree with a scope on child or human behavior will be preferred.
- Hold a valid driver’s license and able to drive
- Be proficient in English with good written and verbal communication skills.
LWS will provide successful candidates with a Sponsorship Certificate to apply for the Skilled Worker Visa, which will entitle them to a minimum of a 3-year work permit in the UK.

The successful candidate will need to submit to LWS scanned copies of the following application documents. These must be in color and certified:
- A valid passport (inside + cover)
- A valid Police Clearance Certificate.
- A valid Tuberculosis Certificate.
- Certificates of qualifications at A level (or equivalent)
- If a degree holder, degree certificates and transcripts
- A current driving license
- Proof of proficiency in English in the form of an English SELT B1 test.
- Alternatively, certificates and transcripts for a degree-level qualification taught in English may prove English proficiency. Ecctis verification documents must accompany certificates and transcripts for Degrees taught in English outside of the UK
- An up-to-date CV
- An application form including the details of TWO previous employment referees.
- Once the above has been submitted and deemed satisfactory, LWS will issue:
- An Offer Letter; and
- A UK Home Office Certificate of Sponsorship.
- The candidate will complete the visa application form online, during which they will be required to pay the visa application fee. Candidates applying for the Support Worker visa are exempt from the NHS Surcharge.
- Upon completing the online visa application form, the candidate will be issued with an appointment date to prove their identity and submit all the above-supporting documents in person to the embassy.
Required Documents
English Proficiency
To prove English proficiency, the candidate will be required to undertake one of the following options:
- If the candidate has a degree studied in the English language, they will be required to submit their degree certificate, academic transcript, and written confirmation from the institution to the Visas and Nationality Services Ecctis, who will verify that their studies were conducted in English;
- Candidates whose degree was earned in the UK may use their degree certificates and transcripts to prove English proficiency.
- If the candidate does not have a degree, they will be required to undertake an English SELT IELTS B1 format test - for UK Visas and Immigration with the British Council.
Tuberculosis
A Tuberculosis Certificate must be obtained from a UK Government-approved clinic in your country of residence.
Police Clearance
A Police Clearance report must be no older than 4 weeks.
