Embrace will be a clinically informed therapeutic solo service aimed to provide care for the hardest to reach young people.

Working closely with the home’s leadership team you will help respond to the needs of young people who may feel let down and frustrated and present with a range of complex trauma behaviours.

We are seeking residential care workers to join our team delivering a new Cambian service, Embrace. As part of our team you will be working in one of our OFSTED registered homes located across the Preston and Warrington and Halton regions.

We are looking for team members to join us in making a positive impact on the lives of the young people in our care. Supporting children between 8-18 years of age that have a range of complex needs - which will include emotional and behavioural difficulties. Providing our children with homely settings that care for one young person at a time. This package of care, in which you will play an important part in delivering, is aimed to support the development and the mental wellbeing of the children in our care.

As part of the care team you will support the home’s leadership team, working alongside other qualified care givers and clinicians to meet the needs of all aspects of our young person’s everyday life, such as household duties, engaging children in education, maintain paperwork systems and enriching their lives through activities and supporting hobbies. Helping young people to safely access the local community and maintain important relationships means that you will need to help transport them.

Our clinically informed training and clinical support will support you in forming meaningful relationships with young people that help them shape their lives and make good outcomes for themselves.

Confidence, emotional resilience and a willingness to get involved with the determination to make a difference are essential qualities for the role. Our leadership, training and clinical support will support you in being the very best you can be. You will be expected to continue to train and develop your practise always striving to deliver the very best care.

Duties:

· Delivering the highest quality care for our children

· Offering guidance, support and structure to their everyday lives

· Supporting the young people to engage and access education

· Promoting a healthy life style and positive living choices

· Accessing clinically led training to improve your skills and develop practise

· Household duties

· Record keeping and report writing

· Days out (e.g. social events, shopping, cinema, swimming)

· Contacts, visit, key work meeting and therapy sessions

· Providing transport for the young people to access different provisions

Requirements: MUST hold a Full UK Driving Licence

Desirable but not essential to hold: NVQ Level 3 in Residential Childcare; Previous experience working in a therapeutic environment or therapeutic qualifications; Experience supporting and leading educational engagement; Previous leadership skills and qualifications. Higher level training and qualifications. This role would support those seeking a second career path.
