Job description

Springboard has been operating over 30+ years creating and delivering innovative programmes that support the development of young people. We currently have an exciting opportunity, in our Belfast office for a part-time Youth Development Worker.

Over the past 30+ years, Springboard has remained focused on supporting young people and communities from areas facing disadvantage.

We are now looking for a Youth Development Worker (part time) who will support 16-24 year olds on their personal, good relations and employability journey. Applying a youth development approach throughout the programme will be key.

As a Youth Development Worker you will join our team and be part of making a difference to the lives of our participants.

Key criteria for the successful candidate include:

  • Has or currently studying 3rdlevel qualification in Youthwork / in a related field plus minimum 3 years’ experience of working with young people. OR Minimum Level 3 qualification plus 5 years’ experience working with young people.
  • Two years’ experience of facilitating non-formal learning and delivering accredited qualifications.
  • Experience of recruitment and engagement of young people onto programmes.
  • Experience of facilitation in good relations / personal and social education / citizenship development, employability workshops/programmes.
  • Experience of individual needs assessment, mentoring, recording and reporting on work.
