Salary: £25,400.00 to £30,200.00 dependent on your skills, knowledge and experience

Location: London (Hybrid)

At The Prince's Trust, we’re passionate about supporting young people aged 11 to 30 to get into jobs, education and training. In this role you will engage and build quality relationships with young people- aged 16-30, volunteers and partners and as an effective communicator and collaborator, you will thrive in both team and independent work. You will join one of our Engagement Programmes in London. Our Engagement Programme offers young people a mix of fun group activities and one-to-one support to develop the skills and confidence they need to succeed in the future! This ranges from confidence building sessions to supporting interactive sessions with delivery partners such as ASOS and Sony.


What does a Youth Development Lead do?

As a Youth Development Lead (YDL), you will be at the heart of our Delivery Team. Each day is different and there are always exciting projects for you to get involved in! Your day-to-day activities to make an impact will include:


  • Reporting any safeguarding concerns for young people on your caseload. This includes completing complex risk assessments, liaising with external agencies, and producing safeguarding reports.
  • Working with young people over the whole duration of a programme, to build their confidence and transferrable skills.
  • Writing, developing, and delivering educational sessions, both face-to-face and virtually, utilising digital technology (including MS Teams).
  • Supporting Lead Youth Development Leads on overnight residentials
