At The Prince's Trust, we’re passionate about supporting young people aged 11 to 30 to get into jobs, education, and training. We have an exciting opportunity for someone enthusiastic to work with our established team to support Young People aged 18-30 to develop and start their own businesses. You will join one of our Enterprise Programmes in Liverpool. Our Enterprise Programme ensures Young People have the tools and skills they need to launch their businesses through our Explore Enterprise Course and offer mentoring, workshops, and funding to support new entrepreneurs at every stage of their business start-up journey!


What does a Youth Development Lead do?

As a Youth Development Lead (YDL), you will be at the heart of our Delivery Team. Each day is different and there are always exciting projects for you to get involved in! Your day-to-day activities to make an impact will include:


  • Reporting any safeguarding concerns for young people on your caseload. This includes completing complex risk assessments, liaising with external agencies, and producing safeguarding reports.
  • Researching opportunities within a range of sectors to enable networking opportunities for our yuong people to support the growth of their businesses.
  • Working closely with volunteers and partner organisations to support our Young People.
  • Supporting the development of Young People's business plans and assisting young people to assure viability of personal finances.
  • Attracting, engaging and onboarding young people onto the programme through social media, local outreach events and networking events.
  • Delivering workshops and training on entrepreneurship, both face-to-face and digitally.
