Job description
Work available at the York Food & Drink Festival
Applicants will be expected to work a number of daytimes and early evenings, including weekends, over the festival dates and set up and pack down: Monday 19th September to Tuesday 4th October.
Tasks include:
- Erecting pop up marquees
- Decorating the festival area with signage and banners
- Setting up festival equipment and furniture
- General upkeep of the festival area such as tidying, emptying bins, sanitising tables
- Delivering hands on workshops to children and families in our Food Factory and schools workshops programme.
- Serving customers at our street food stall
- Assisting members of the public, providing festival information to the members of the public.
Useful skills to have:
- Knowledge of food & drink
- Knowledge of York i.e. being able to give directions to members of the public
- Experience working with children
Hours: approx 40 per week
Start time and finish times: Shifts can start as early as 8am, later shifts can finish as late as 9.30pm
Job Type: Temporary two week contract
Salary: £10.50 per hour

Thursday 21st to Sunday 1st are the most important dates
