Job description
Are you looking for an internship that will enable you to really apply your degree and contribute from your first day? If so, then our year in industry placement is the perfect opportunity for you!
TTP is an independent technology company where scientists and engineers collaborate to invent, design, and develop new products and technologies which make a difference to people’s lives. We work with the world’s most ambitious companies to address diverse, deep technology problems, from creating a device that supports people with a medical condition, to designing complex instrumentation that helps scientists solve their own puzzling questions.
Read our case studies to find out more.
As TTP is a multi-disciplinary environment, you will work alongside talented people from a wide range of academic backgrounds – from biologists, to engineers, to physicists – getting to learn from them, whilst also making your own mark on projects.
This internship at TTP presents the opportunity to work alongside our consultants and gain real insight into life as a technical consultant. You will contribute to exciting live client and internal TTP projects to get hands-on, practical experience of innovative technology and product development. You will gain great career experience, whilst becoming fully integrated into the team and making great friends.
We are looking for students who are ready to create their own opportunities within TTP. You will have the chance to participate in all areas of the work we do, including time in the lab, joining team meetings and interacting with our clients; experiencing the day-to-day reality of a career with one of Europe’s leading technology businesses.
We encourage you to apply as early as possible as we review applications on a rolling basis.
Requirements
When considering applications, we are looking for individuals with the following qualifications and personal characteristics:
- Studying towards a 1st or high 2.1 degree in Engineering (Aerospace, Biomedical, Electrical and Electronics, General, Information, Mechanical or Software), Life Sciences or Physics at a leading university (similar disciplines considered)
- Must have completed at least 2 years of study by the time of the start of your internship (so students at the beginning of second year are very welcome to apply)
- Enthusiastic and curious in nature. We want people who love to learn and get to the heart of a problem – and who do so enthusiastically!
- Experience of internships or extracurriculars where you applied your degree (desirable but not essential).
Diversity Statement:
Our business revolves around collaborating with one another to tackle genuinely hard problems. Equality and diversity in the workplace are some of the most challenging problems facing society. We can’t profess to be perfect in this regard or to yet have all the answers. But we continuously strive to do better, and we fundamentally believe in the power and importance of diversity – both for our community and for the overall success of our business.
We, therefore, encourage applications from all individuals. Whatever your background, whatever your identity: we would love to hear from you.
Benefits
This is a paid internship (salary competitive).
