We are hiring for a Yard Operative - Immediate start available!
Salary: £19,200 - £23,700 dependent on skills & experience
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
Hours: 38.5 hours a week, Monday to Thursday 8.30am to 5.15pm, Friday 8.30am to 5pm

Auction Coordinators manage all auction preparations and are responsible for ensuring all facilities are in place, and all items are suitably prepared before each auction. You will be working both indoors and outdoors and co-ordinating items ranging from small tools right up to heavy plant and machinery. Duties to include, but not limited to:
- Learn the entire auction setup process and be responsible for maintaining operational efficiency and effectiveness.
- Oversee yard layout by rowing up, sorting, lotting, and lining up both electronically and physically
- Safe coordination and control of all loading and unloading activities.
- Operate and move a variety of heavy equipment and trucks.
- Liaise with customers, hauliers and couriers.
- Effective Stock Management and resolutions of issues.
About You:
This role requires an organised individual with excellent problem solving and task management skills. Strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential. Due to the nature of this role, you must be able to work both indoors and outdoors year-round and be physically fit to climb on and off large equipment.
The Requirements:
- Experience/interest in heavy plant machinery and good knowledge of the different categories.
- Experience in forklift/telehandler driving.
- Excellent organisation and time management skills.
- Be able to prioritise, multitask and use initiative.
- Be systems orientated and a self-starter.
- Previous experience of stock control is desirable.
- Counterbalance Forklift Licence and/or Telescopic Forklift Licence is desirable - would be preferable but not essential.
- Possess and maintain a valid Full clean UK driving license.
