MoneyWeek is seeking a Writer and Editorial Assistant. The role comprises a mixture of administrative and diverse writing tasks, and is suitable for a university graduate with a keen interest in investing, financial markets and economics.
What you’ll be doing
As Writer/Editorial Assistant at MoneyWeek magazine, you’ll be writing several small, light-hearted sections of the magazine; contributing short pieces to our news page, and, occasionally, to the politics & economics page; compiling news updates relating to funds; and pitching and writing the occasional long feature.
The successful candidate will also maintain the magazine’s archives on a spreadsheet; administer the schedule for the Personal View page, which features a guest article from fund managers; and keep on top of the magazine’s own newspaper and magazine subscriptions.
Experience that will put you ahead of the curve…
- An interest in investments and how money and markets work.
- Ability to break down complex subject matter into easily digestible copy.
- Background in writing for a print brand.
- Experience in conducting research and fact checking.
