We want writers with compelling storytelling skills to develop content for employee experience and recruitment marketing projects, which can include everything from EVP development and expression, career site content, job postings, video & podcast storytelling, targeted recruitment marketing, social and more.
You're skilled at showcasing clients as employers of choice; to help them attract, retain and engage team members with communications that connect people throughout their employee experiences.
This contract position will work with other members of our Creative Team on content that defines cultures and articulates compelling employee value propositions. You'll work as part of a unit to craft and activate talent brands, and drive engagement across multiple job families, brands and markets.
While we appreciate interest from all content creators, we will be focusing on those with relevant experience in Recruitment Marketing, Employer Branding and Internal Communications. The ability to genuinely understand, capture and create compelling content in the "voice of the employee and employer" across all relevant platforms will be central to your success, and will guide our selection.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work on content creation including research, ideation, coordination, copywriting, and social copy, headlines, sub lines, long and short copy, career site content, talent acquisition ads, video and podcast scripts, posters, etc.
- Develop strategy, content and creative as an individual contributor.
- Participate in client-facing discovery and meetings, 1:1 interviews, workshops and client presentations to inform content development.
- Conduct research on industry trends, competitive insights, best practices and other relevant information to inform your approach.
- Attend client meetings as a part of a project Creative Team to listen to client input, provide insights, collaborate and problem solve, develop creative strategies and accompanying content, and ultimately deliver targeted creative solutions for our clients' needs.
- Partner with client-side Brand and Marketing Leaders to develop content across all channels - for static and dynamic platform content, long- and short-form copy, multimedia, posts, and other materials.
- Support and enable internal and client teams to leverage content you create and curate.
Required Experience and Technical Skills:
- Minimum 3 years of copywriting and creative experience, specifically within employer brand, recruitment marketing, internal communications and/or culture transformation.
- Curious, insightful, outgoing and collaborative.
- Ability to understand the value of an employer brand and effectively communicate the value propositions across multiple platforms, including career sites and other digital platforms.
- Ability to write top performing long-form content, creative briefs, blog posts, video scripts, video titles and descriptions, as well as social media posts, job ads and other short-form content.
- Experience writing social media copy and an understanding of the nuances across LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook, GlassDoor, Instagram, video and podcast channels, and other employee-facing platforms.
- An analytical mindset with the ability to evaluate qualitative and quantitative information for content development work and recommendations, using learnings to evolve and optimize content strategies.
- Self-starter with a sense of urgency who takes initiative with minimal direction and works well as part of a team.
Preferred:
- Understanding of DEI and inclusive marketing principles.
- Understanding of culture transformation (purpose & values).
- Experience optimizing content for SEO.
Nexus is digital-forward, flexible employer with hybrid and remote work settings, and occasional in-office collaboration with clients and internal teams in our downtown Toronto creative hub. Familiarity with Microsoft Teams and comfort working remotely through video and screensharing is a must, as the majority of our work is conducted remotely!
