Grant Writer and Researcher
Latincouver Cultural & Business Society – Vancouver, BC
(On-site / paid position)
Latincouver is a non-profit organization that, for the past 15 years, has been connecting over 100,000 Latin Americans with Latin enthusiasts living in Western Canada. As of today, we are the point of reference within the Latin American community in British Columbia.
Working Hours: 20 hours per week (office)
Wages: $17-20 per hour depending on experience
Working period: 3 months with the opportunity to extend and become full-time 40 hours
Duties and Responsibilities:
● Researching government, foundation, corporate grants, and other fundraising or grant opportunities
● Maintaining reports on a calendar of submissions and other deadlines
● Writing compelling narratives for grant proposals and final reports on behalf of Latincouver
● Submitting a minimum 3 grant applications per month
● Establishing and maintaining working relationships with grant funders
● Revising and following up on grant applications
● Maintaining funding opportunity database and tracking system
Requirements and Skills
● Exceptional English communication and editing skills.
● Being detail-oriented and having excellent organizational management skills
● Ability to maintain confidentiality, pay attention to detail and maintain accurate records.
● Experience in working for fundraisings and non-profits.
● Experience with ClickUp an asset
● Minimum of 2 years of grant-writing experience in Canada.
