Job description
We are looking for an experienced a Fund raising consultent/Grant Writer to join our team and help us secure funding for our organization. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of success in grant writing, research, and proposal development. The Grant Writer will be responsible for researching potential funding sources, developing grant proposals, and managing the grant submission process. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual with strong writing skills and a passion for making a difference.
Responsibilities:
- Research potential grant opportunities and develop grant proposals.
- Write clear, concise, and persuasive grant proposals.
- Develop and maintain relationships with potential funders.
- Develop and maintain a database of potential funders and grant opportunities.
- Manage the grant writing process from start to finish, including submission of the proposal.
- Work with program staff to ensure that all necessary information is included in the proposal.
- Monitor grant awards and ensure compliance with all reporting requirements.
- Develop and implement fundraising plans and strategies that align with the organization's goals and objectives.
- Conduct research to identify potential funding sources, including individual donors, foundations, and corporations.
- Cultivate relationships with donors and potential donors through personal visits, events, and other outreach activities.
- Write and submit grant proposals and applications to secure funding from foundations and corporations.
- Plan and execute fundraising events, such as galas, auctions, and charity walks.
- Collaborate with staff and volunteers to develop fundraising campaigns and initiatives.
- Monitor and evaluate fundraising activities to ensure targets are met or exceeded.
- Maintain accurate records of donor and prospect interactions and donations.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Nonprofit Management, or related field.
- Proven experience in fundraising, with a track record of successful fundraising campaigns and initiatives.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with donors, volunteers, and staff.
- Strong writing skills, with the ability to craft compelling grant proposals and donor communications.
- Familiarity with fundraising software and tools, such as donor management systems and online giving platforms.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a high level of organizational and time-management skills.
- Passion for the organization's mission and a commitment to ethical fundraising practices.
- Proven experience in grant writing, with a track record of successful grant applications and awards.
- Excellent writing and editing skills, with the ability to craft clear and persuasive grant proposals and other fundraising materials.
- Strong research skills, with the ability to identify funding opportunities and develop proposals that align with funder priorities.
- Familiarity with grant management software and tools, such as Foundant and GrantHub.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a high level of organizational and time-management skills.
- Passion for the organization's mission and a commitment to ethical fundraising practices.
Job Type: Contract
Contract length: 8 weeks
Salary: $15.25 per hour
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
