Job description
This Media and Content juggernaut is looking for a talented and versatile Office Manager to join their London team and help the business grow and thrive. Working alongside a diverse and motivated team in a role which will see you wearing many hats, duties for this position will include, but are not limited to:
- Proactively manage all office and building related matters; conduct daily office walkarounds to identify repairs or improvements needed to maintain the quality of the office environment to a high standard
- Liaising with IT on desk set-up and internal desk moves
- Project manage office refurbishments and upgrades as required; liaising with and managing handymen and contractors, obtaining quotes and monitoring work/projects being undertaken
- Manage relationships with the outsourced contractors - including cleaning, plumbing, local council etc
- Oversee building access, ensuring new starters have the correct door accesses, through control and issue of security passes
- Responsible for Health and Safety regulations
- Ensuring sufficient numbers of Fire Wardens and Fire Aiders are trained and in place at any time, organising training and refresher courses as needed, organising regular fire alarm testing and drills
- In conjunction with IT Manager, allocating/ordering IT equipment, raising POs as necessary
- Maintaining up-to-date lists of computer and mobile phone equipment
- Manage ordering of stationary, refreshments and other office supplies, maintaining an organised and well-stocked post-room and drinks fridges
- Ordering stationery and monitoring supplies
- Managing the front desk
- Meeting and greeting clients and visitors
- Answering switchboard and transferring calls
- Managing meeting room bookings on Outlook
- Ensuring the reception area, meeting rooms and communal spaces are kept tidy and presentable throughout the day
- Organising courier/bike requests
- Managing incoming and outgoing post
For this role, when your time will be in high demand, you must have a calm and pragmatic outlook, with the ability to work to tight deadlines. You must be a self-starter who can work with their own autonomy with a commitment to providing quality work and output. Dealing with many different people at all different levels in this position means you must be comfortable and confident in your approach and communications. Salary: £41,000.00-£75,000.00 per year
