Our client are a leading Engineering & Industrial Services Provider with over 300 sites across the UK and Republic of Ireland. A requirement is available for a Workshop Supervisor to work onsite based in Southampton.
You will be working with a business who offer specialised engineering services, offering a wide range of engineering components, technical services and customised solutions across all areas of industry.
Products range from flow control, power transmission to bearings with services ranging from maintenance, repair and replacement through to specialist engineering.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS:
* Manage all aspects of a project from tendering stage to completion as required * Take responsibility for Quality and ESH on projects including producing RAMS, collaborating sub-contractor RAMS and managing the safety of sub-contractors on site * Produce Engineering and project reports for customers as required * Coordinate and run pre and post project meetings with relevant engineers, management, suppliers and sub-contractors as required * Attend Work In Progress meetings to provide updates on project status * Capture and coordinate previous lessons learned * Produce project initiation documentation where required * Produce and update project plans * Work closely with Sales Engineers during the tendering stage of a project and produce technical enquiries * Order spare parts and materials * Financial & operational control of projects in like with company procedures * Produce workshop quotations * Provide customer updates * Assist the Engineering Manager with the day to day running of the workshop & supervision of engineers during absent periods. * Working on projects as a lead engineer where required * Working overtime to suit customer needs which may involve unsociable hours * Ensuring all work meets the appropriate standards and quality control criteria as set out by the company. * Ensure you adhere to Health and Safety responsibilities at all times, including following all appropriate procedures and using the appropriate protective equipment. * Ensure that risks and hazards in activities undertaken in the role are acknowledged and conducted in accordance with processes, procedure and measures in place to mitigate risks * Be familiar with environmental aspects of activities undertaken in the role and the procedures and processes underpinning. * Ensure that the work area is kept clean and tidy in accordance with company initiatives such as LEAN and in accordance with health and safety requirements. * Any other duties commensurate with your skills, knowledge and experience.
