Workshop Mechanic

The role of Workshop Mechanic will be primarily based in Great Yarmouth and split between office and workshop. Some of the duties include equipment maintenance, repair and overhaul, certification and load outs while following Baker Hughes procedures and compiling to company standards at all times.

Your duties will include completing all maintenance work given to you by your supervisor, completing all paperwork and ensuring all pre-mobilisation checks are carried out. You will also ensure all 3rd party equipment is identified and off hired. You will participate in the Gensuite Observation, Stop work and practise the 5 Fundamentals in all your work activities, completing the required reports.

You will be responsible for:

• Working alone, without supervision but reporting to Assembly Repair Maintenance Overhaul (ARMO) lead
• Maintaining and repairing equipment for maximum utilisation, and reviewing equipment for when replacements required. Primarily a fleet of diesel engines with fluid or cryogenic pump ends to Zone II specification
• Preparing and reviewing work scopes ensuring that all operations are carried out as per the company’s HSE and operating procedures
• Organizing and prioritizing your working day to ensure that the mobilisation dates are met
• Assisting workshop technicians workloads and support where required
• Participating in morning safety briefs and familiarization with your daily work scopes
• Participating in the Gensuite Observation, STOP work and practise the 5 Fundamentals in all your work activities
• Maintaining effective communication with your colleagues and supervisors
• Performing other assigned duties as required

• An excellent safety attitude
• Ability to participate in all Company safety, competence programs and adhere to all policies.
• A good understanding in certification for Oil and Gas related equipment.
• Fork Lift Licence (Preferred)
• Experience in the Oil and Gas / Product and Pipelines Services (PPS) industry
