Job description
A Manufacturing company based in Cardiff (CF3) requires a workshop assistant.
The company manufactures products from acrylic and other plastics for displays and exhibitions on a mass scale and on an individual bespoke basis.
You will be assisting the workshop and dispatch departments.
Training will be given to use industrial machinery such as table routers, polishing equipment, hot wire formers etc.
The candidate will require a good eye for detail and be able to work well in a team as well as independently
Opportunity for progression within the company
Duties include (but are not limited to);
· Stock Checking
· Picking and packing of orders ready for dispatch
· Quality Checking
· Working to deadlines
· Working efficiently
· Build pallets with orders and position them to loading docks
· Use of industrial machinery
· Cleaning and maintaining work areas and machinery
· Storing goods and materials in the factory or warehouse
· Other general warehouse duties.
· Able to lift and move products of up to 15.5 kilos in weight
Skills and Experience:
No previous manufacturing experience required, full training will be provided.
The candidate must have an interest in a career in manufacturing.
Job type: Permanent
Job status: Full Time - Monday – Friday - 8am - 4pm
Salary: Starting on Minimum Wage for age with wage, increasing as skills progress
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: Up to £11.00 per hour
