Job description
deVOL Kitchens is one of the leading and most highly regarded kitchen companies in the UK, with manufacturing and design offices based in Leicestershire, London and New York.
We are looking for a highly motivated, capable and friendly person to join our rapidly growing team of experienced craftsmen.
Part of being a Workshop Assistant at deVOL is being able to manage your time efficiently. You will be required to work through jobs from the machinist's board.
These jobs include, but are not limited to:
- Racking away wood deliveries.
- Cutting and sanding different types of wood.
- Preparing wooden component blanks for CNC.
- Grading timber.
- Assisting your colleagues with larger orders.
- Learning how to use various machines, including dimension saws, upcut saws, automated crosscut saw, thicknesser and sanders.
We would like you to have:
- The ability to work well both in a small team and independently.
- Good time management skills.
- An interest in woodwork.
- Experience as a wood machinist (advantageous but not essential).
- Good communication skills and hardworking.
We offer a competitive salary based on experience and during your first year you will receive training in the role and performance appraisals where your pay will be reviewed.
After this we offer annual pay reviews and continued support from the team.
