A permanent position ahs become available as a Work Placement Coordinator to support our work industry placements and opportunity for learners in the Business and Digital Sectors.
This role will be developed in the future to support with T-level pathways as well once the T-Level Structure is imbedded and the individual grows into the role.
Work Placement roles require a good management of stakeholder relationships as you will be working closely with external individuals such as employers in order to identify potential job opportunities for our students. There is also an element of a proactive sales approach where there is a need to generate for opportunities with employers.
As part of the Student Services Department there will be great opportunities to support with college functions such as open evenings.
- Manage, maintain and develop work experience opportunities and systems for Business and Digital learners and working with assessors within the sector.
- To work closely with students to identify their work aspirations in order to match them with suitable placements.
- Working alongside employers to ensure all parties are supported whilst on placement
- To assist with support duties in the Employer Engagement department as may be required from time to time.
- Assist at College functions e.g open evenings, enrolment evenings, parent’s evenings and placement provider events.
Qualifications and training
- Knowledge of safeguarding issues in education – essential
- Knowledge of current developments and opportunities in local LMI. – essential
