Birmingham Museums Trust offers a number of work experience placements throughout the year.
Our work experience programme is open to anyone fifteen years or over who is not currently in employment. Each placement is 3-5 days long and is a great chance to develop your skills and knowledge and get a general awareness of the working world.
We have a variety of placements available as follows:
Thinktank – Visitor Services Team
Work experience placements at Thinktank in the Visitor Services Team are ideal for anyone who is interested in gaining experience of working life within a busy science museum. These placements run from 9.15am-15:30pm on weekdays.

Please note you may be required to go to one of the other historic properties during the placement depending on the activities scheduled.

Please note due to an increasingly high level of demand we are unable to offer work experience opportunities outside of our advertised placements.
