The position
By joining our team in Renewables you will have the opportunity to:- Ensure all planned and corrective maintenance work on the wind turbine generator (WTG) assets is carried out safely and efficiently and follows Equinor management process (use SAP to create, plan and record maintenance, notifications and work release).
- Carry out maintenance database and workplace audits of employees and contractors to ensure high standards of maintenance data capture and recording.
- Follow up on WTG maintenance plans and find improvements and efficiencies in deliveries. Work with and support the other O&M team members, prioritising and sharing workload between WTG/Transmission and Balance of Plant team members.
- Provide support for opposite wind farm equivalent, this may include holding Company Rep role for joint contracts, holiday cover, equipment site responsible and site visits.
- Project manage small and large projects, up to £3M and follow up delivery offshore - Jack up vessel main component exchanges for example.
- Supervise and onboard relevant contractors to ensure their work is carried out safely as per plan during routine shift working and project scopes.
- Prepare for and support offshore visits on an ad-hoc basis, approx. 10 days per year.
- Liaise with internal and external support functions to progress engineering and technical issues.
- Capture lessons learned and foster a culture of continual improvement. Support Operational excellence to share and gain learnings

Participate in Asset Integrity Delivery:
- Become asset responsible for the 88 x 3.6MW WTG assets as assigned through a responsibility Matrix, responsible for ensuring the WTG asset integrity through the execution of the agreed maintenance programme.
- Act as Equinor’s technical representative towards the WTG original equipment manufacturer (OEM) as required.
- Be the technical representative toward Product Owner Forums and Internal Technical Forums.

- Ideally an HND/HNC or B.Eng./ B.Sc. within a mechanical, electrical, or material technology discipline. However extensive experience within a similar onshore or offshore wind turbine engineering role may compensate for formal education.
- IT literate with working experience of Microsoft Office packages.
- Possession of offshore wind safety and rescue tickets according to the Global Wind Organisation. A willingness to undergo the training is required otherwise.
- Good knowledge of asset focal point or asset ownership from an operations and maintenance point of view.
- Proven ability to take ownership and be accountable for delivery of tasks in assigned area.
- Desired but not essential - knowledge of offshore operations and maintenance, Wind Power or Oil and Gas.
- Fluency in written and spoken English.
