ABP Yetminster is one of the biggest lamb processors in the UK specialising in the premium cuts and best quality lamb products. Our teams of experienced and reliable meat experts are passionate about building lasting partnerships in the European retail, manufacturing and food service sectors. Producing a full range of high-quality lamb and mutton from whole carcass to graded cuts for retail and food service customers. This includes ‘Dorset Crown’ which is a range of premium products local to the area which are processed and packed at the Yetminster site.We are based in Dorset, close to the towns Yeovil and Sherborne and our commitment is to produce the best quality products and our determination is to surpass expectation that’s earned us our market-leading position.We are looking for people keen to begin or continue their career in food sector and currently we are recruiting for Wholesale Packers to join our Wholesale team.Role Definition:To work as part of the Wholesale team to ensure all products are correctly packed in accordance with customer and site specificationsMain Duties and Responsibilities:Carry out final check of packed products to ensure item packed is correct and weight specified match customer orderAt end of shift ensure work area is tidy and clearEnsure customer [internal and external] company and site complianceComply with company policy and procedure on safe food handling and hygiene at all timesUndertake any other reasonable requests madeReport any accidents/absences in line with site reporting proceduresCarry out all tasks in a safe manner in accordance with attached H&S responsibilitiesKnowledge and Experience:Able to work under own initiativeBe a team playerHave basic understanding of Food Safety you will attend training as part of your role to achieve Level 2 Food SafetyCan do attitude with good communication skills and a basic understanding of verbal and written EnglishNo sponsorship visa available for this role.You must be 18+ to apply for this position.Job Types: Permanent, Full-timeSalary: £10.90-£11.15 per hourBenefits:CanteenChildcareCompany eventsCycle to work schemeDiscounted or free foodFree flu jabsFree parkingGym membershipHealth & wellbeing programmeLanguage training providedLife insuranceOn-site parkingReferral programmeFlexible Language Requirement:English not requiredSchedule:Day shiftMonday to FridayWork Location: In personReference ID: MB/Oct/23
