Do you want to make a real difference to the lives of the military community? Are you a confident, self-starter with welfare experience? We are offering a full time post to someone with strong people skills, who can work independently and as part of a large team, to join DMWS in NHS (GG&C) Health Board Area.

The Welfare Support Worker post will be a joint DMWS and NHS post. It will operate under an honorary contract with the NHS Board and will be line managed by the DMWS Head of Region and the Veterans Support Coordinator (VSC). The responsibilities of the Welfare Support Worker will include the welfare and effective management of referrals as part of a multi-disciplinary team. Attending multi-disciplinary meetings and carrying out joint, and lone visits to patients, and liaising with other agencies within the hospital and community to ensure the best outcome for patients and families.
