WELDER/FABRICATOR - WEEKENDS ONLY!
Preventative Maintenance Engineers
Weekend Shift - Permanent
Shift pattern: Friday-Sunday (12 hour shifts), 36 hrs per week
Location: Middleton (Manchester)
Salary: up to £30,000/annum

What we are looking for:
Our client looking for a Welder/Fabricator on a permanent basis covering their weekend shift working 3 x 12 hours shifts from Friday to Sunday. You will be time served welder/fabricator and have a solid background working within a welding/fabrication environment. You will thrive from a challenge and genuinely enjoy working within an environment that supports and promotes improvements to both equipment and processes.
You will enjoy the process side of the job and as a result will have a solid knowledge of metalworking. You will enjoy working as part of a team and your superior metalworking knowledge will separate you from the competition.
Key responsibilities:
- Welding / fabrication of within a manufacturing environment.
- Working as a team to deliver business requirements.
- Adhering to Health & Safety requirements to provide a safe working environment.
Knowledge and Experience:
- A strong background in fabrication and manufacturing of machines and components.
- Minimum 3 years welding experience, ideally a coded welder.
- Strong knowledge of metalworking techniques and fabrication.
- Use of fabrication and metalworking machinery including welding/lathes/milling/sheet metal working.
- Able to read, understand and translate engineering drawings.
- Used to working to high quality standards.
- Coming from a FMCG or fast moving manufacturing environment.
- A flexible approach & enjoys working as part of a team.
- Understanding of Health & Safety best practices to ensure safety of self and others.
- Driving licence and own transport preferred.
