Working within a bustling atmosphere as part of passionate team, you'll play a core part in providing fantastic customer service.
The Hours: 3 days a week (days will vary each week and rotas tend to be issued 3 weeks in advance) including weekends, bank holidays and school holidays (no evenings or split shifts.) A typical shift will be 9am - 5pm.
The Salary: £10.50 per hour
Duration: Fixed Term Contract until 3 September 2023

You will be working at Foremark and Staunton Harold, two countryside sites under the care of the Calke Abbey portfolio. The sites are working reservoirs owned by Severn Trent, with the land management and operations managed by the National Trust team. As part of a small but passionate Visitor Experience team, you'll be ensuring our diverse range of visitors receive a warm welcome and have a brilliant day out.
What you'll be doing:As the largest conservation charity in Europe, we work hard to raise funds so that we can continue to care for nature, beauty and history for everyone. Visitors are a vital part of what we do, so you’ll be responsible for ensuring that you provide excellent service, every day.
In this role, you’ll be;
- Working alongside a small staff team delivering outstanding customer service across the two sites
- Welcoming our visitors to the property, providing information and orientation
- Supporting visitors with using our pay and display car park machines and maintaining these so they're in good working order as well as managing car park capacity
- You will support a team of Service Assistants by being the point of contact to escalate any issues to and communicate effectively with the right people to ensure they are resolved appropriately
- Liaising with stakeholders such as security teams, contractors and sailing clubs who all use the sites
- Championing high standards of presentation, including checking toilets, emptying bins and litter picking to ensure the sites look their best
- Having proactive conversations with our visitors about BBQs, water access and dogs to ensure everyone can enjoy their day
- Promoting events, offers, products and benefits of actively supporting the National Trust
- Supporting across the property/portfolio when required
