Job description
We are seeking a number of weekend waiting staff to join Cheltenham’s first rooftop restaurant. Where service is concerned, The Nook On Five has one word in mind – exceptional. Experience is what makes the success of a restaurant last beyond the hype and its early years.
Recently opened this autumn, our ethos is to serve fresh and innovative dishes whilst working with local suppliers to highlight their craft. We will be operating throughout the day, providing working Breakfasts, Lunches, Afternoon Tea and an A La Carte offering. We also have a Chef’s Table in the kitchen!
Our view is that service in UK as a whole, falls short of the experience you can find in the USA and Europe. We will be doing things differently.
Our successful candidates will be friendly individuals who understand the rhythm of service. We are looking for creativity, passion and a love for people, hospitality and making memories.
Some roles will include working behind the bar with alcohol, therefore you must be over 18.
For Junior Applicants
We understand that it is harder to make a career in Service in the UK, so we are 100% committed to ensuring your experience is geared towards your future development whether that be in bartending, wine, coffee, restaurants or events management. We also have the means to help students gear their CVs in hospitality service to reach their aspirations in the professions like Accountancy, Law and Finance.
For Senior Applicants
The Nook is the perfect environment for ambitious and talented hospitality professionals. Our kitchen, dining space and business has been designed to make sure you are well remunerated, happy within the team, and granted plenty of creative freedom to help ensure The Nook is the number one place to visit in Cheltenham. This means encouraging your development with training, career progression, and offering in-house rewards. A few special perks include restaurant vouchers, a fully laundered uniform, and birthdays off!
This role would suit somebody looking for a full-time position, however part-time work will be available. The ideal candidate would be somebody with previous experience in a similar role, who has fantastic customer service skills and someone who strives for success.
