Cygnet Hospital Beckton is a private hospital for women with complex mental health needs. Situated in the East End of London, the hospital has four different specialist wards including mental health with learning disability, personality disorder and an acute admissions service.
We are looking for a friendly and experienced Weekend / Bank Holiday Receptionist to join our team.
You will be working in a fast paced environment, so the ability to process information quickly in a calm and controlled manner at all times is essential.
The ideal candidate must be adaptable and well presented with a friendly disposition with excellent communication skills. Duties will include welcoming all visitors / staff, maintaining security procedures and effective use of the hospital switchboard. A working knowledge of Microsoft Office is essential.
You’ll be working an avereage of 8.6hours a week following the below 3 week shift pattern;
WK 1 - Saturday (Long Day) 7.30am to 8.00pm
WK 2 - Sunday (Early) 7.00am to 2.00pm
WK 3 - Sunday (Late) 1.30pm – 8.30pm
You will also be required to cover some Bank Holidays.
You’re Day-to-Day...
- Provide a professional, welcoming reception experience
- Greet visitors & notify the appropriate member of staff of their arrival
- Ensure visitors sign in & out, and that patients leaving & returning are recorded appropriately
- Answer & transfer all incoming calls and take messages where appropriate
- Sort & distribute post, and assist with general office duties as required
- Keep the reception area clean & tidy
- Promote the safety & security of all site users and ensure all staff comply with security protocols.
You are...
- An experienced receptionist/administrator used to liaising with customers/clients
- Organised, naturally helpful and good at multitasking
- Computer literate – including Windows/Word/Excel/Outlook or equivalent
- Knowledgeable of telephone systems
- Polite, friendly & approachable with excellent communication skills
- GCSE Maths and English qualified, with a good level of numeracy and literacy
- Diligent & accurate, with an eye for detail and an understanding of confidentiality
