Are you a friendly, welcoming individual with experience in dealing with the general public? Do you have exceptional communication skills with people of all levels?

Acorn House is a newly renovated 64-bed care home situated in the centre of Nottingham, providing residential and specialist dementia care. The home is currently looking to find a Weekend Receptionist to join the fabulous team. As the first person visitors meet when they come to our home, your role is absolutely vital and you will be expected to welcome visitors in a friendly, professional manner.

What you will receive as a Weekend Receptionist;

  • £9.50 per hour
  • Part-time, permanent contract
  • 15 hours per week, 9am-5pm
  • Working weekends only
  • Based in Carrington, NG5 2AT

What you will be doing as a Weekend Receptionist;

  • Greet and respond to customer enquiries in a friendly and effective manner
  • Make sure all electronic records are maintained
  • Deal with incoming and outgoing calls to various third parties, including Doctors, Social Workers, Resident Families, etc.
  • Report any maintenance issues to the Maintenance Operative accordingly
  • Maintain petty case records
  • Show visitors around the care home in the absence of the Manager
  • Provide general administration support to the Manager as required

What you will need to be successful as a Weekend Receptionist;

  • Experience working within a caring environment (not essential)
  • The ability to communicate well and make others feel welcomed and comfortable
  • Willingness to develop new skills
  • A warm, friendly and calming disposition
  • Be IT illiterate with experience in using Microsoft Office packages.
