We are looking to expand our events and wedding team. In this important role for our business, your responsibility will be to effectively handle and convert wedding and event enquiries from initial contact through to final detail planning.
A good degree of self-confidence and excellent communication skills are essential to get the most from this position.
Ideally, the right candidate will have significant experience in wedding/event sales, organisation and event running however some training can be provided.
We offer flexible working, £10 per hour and excellent commission rates - Potential to earn an additional £5000 - £10,000 per annum in commission.
Responsibilities -
To operate as a well motivated sales representative for both corporate and wedding events and contribute to the effective delivery of our teams' events targets.
Engaging in both inbound and outbound enquires as required through various communication channels
Conducting tours of our facilities with potential clients and business partners and selling the strengths of our rural venue and it's relaxing extensive views
Managing incoming email and telephone enquiries on evenings and weekends.
Managing regular planning meetings with clients e.g tastings and planning sessions
Contributing to the team achieving their monthly and annual sales targets and attending weekly meetings with the management / marketing team
Keeping stringent records and inputting data into our systems about the events being organised
Liaising with clients between booking and event delivery to ensure everything is discussed and recorded.
Taking deposits and payments.
Notifying overdue payments
Co-ordinating suppliers and events staff on the day
Recording customer feedback
Requirements -
The ability to effectively sell products and services to both wedding and business customers with good conversion rates and excellent customer feedback.
To work effectively as part of a team
To demonstrate a thorough knowledge of event planning / hosting and apply this to independently planning these in advance over long periods.
The ability to build robust customer relationships and deliver high standards of service with a genuine and approachable manner is essential.
To be punctual and dependable with consistent availability delivered to customers
To be an efficient record keeper using an online diary and have good Office IT and email capabilities.
To be committed to ensuring every wedding and event organised is a success
Minimum 2 years’ experience in a wedding / corporate event / premium hospitality management is preferred
You will be IT literate and it would be highly advantageous for you to have some working knowledge of Rezlynx ( Guestline ).
Candidates must be eligible to live and work in the UK.
As many incoming enquiries, appointments and events occur at evenings and weekends the role requires some flexible working hours and the shifts will change week to week and include weekends and early evenings.
The negotiation of part time or flexible working is possible for the right candidate, please enquire.
