Relais & Chateau at Thornbury Castle are seeking a Wedding and Events coordinator to join our professional sales and events team. You will be working in a unique and beautifully restored Castle, creating truly memorable and impressive 5* experiences for our guests.
About Us
Set on 15 acres of beautiful land, Thornbury Castle Hotel is the only Tudor Castle operating as a hotel in England. The Castle has almost completed a multi-million pound refurbishment program bringing back to life the regal grandeur of its past. Located 20 minutes' drive from Bristol, it offers 27 rooms and suites, an award-winning restaurant, bar and two unique meeting and conference spaces. our food style is modern British using the best locally sourced produce from our kitchen garden and around the southwest. We operate 7 days a week, serving breakfast, afternoon tea, dinner, and Sunday lunch as well as the occasional wedding and functions.

The Offer
£23,600 per annum an additional share of service charge (about 4k per year, based on business level)
Full time - 40 hours per week worked over 5 days including weekends. (based on business needs.)
Additional bonus based on objective.
8 hour shifts between the hours of 9am - 19pm
5 days sick pay after 6 months service
28-day holiday (pro rata) including bank holidays plus a Paid day off on your birthday
Complimentary stay at the castle after 3 months passed probation period

Profile description
About You
Be the first contact for all wedding and events inquiries.
Prepare proposals and contracts, check billings, invoices and process payments.
Use strong attention to detail produce accurate internal function sheets.
Ability to identify customers' needs and respond proactively to all of their concerns
Greet all function organisers and bride for each wedding. Be the point of contact and fully responsible for the ceremony
Sales driven and ability to optimise every sales opportunity
Carry out show rounds, organise and attend wedding fairs and internal events to promote the Castle and its unique offerings.
Meet targets, KPI's, schedules, follow company policies and procedures, and comply with all health and safety regulations.
Effective communication
Ability to deal with all enquiries and provide information and quotations via phone and emails.
Guest-oriented and service-minded
Precise and detailed oriented
Previous experience as a co-ordinator is preferred but full training will be given
Preferably experience with PMS Opera or similar.
