Job description
A new and exciting requirement for a senior WebMethods Integration specialist. Primarily technical experience of WebMethods Integration Server, WebMethods API Gateway, WebMethods API Portal, ideally with a minimum of 4 years of experience in designing and developing integration applications using the products. The successful candidate will be involved in the design, development, testing, implementation and support of a complex integration solution and management of associated system components.
The individual will also perform analysis and resolve application performance issues in coordination with customers and other developers, documenting processes and procedures and ensuring compliance with Boeing and practices. The candidate will provide oversight as well as perform installations, deployments, upgrades, application migrations, and infrastructure changes for WebMethods ensuring flawless execution and continuous production. The position requires cross team coordination and leadership with separate, but tightly coupled development and architecture teams, infrastructure support teams, key suppliers, and other Boeing programs utilizing the same technologies.
Essential
The ideal candidate we’re looking for has the following skills
- SC Clearance or ability to obtain (5-year UK residency)
- Hands on experience with:
o WebMethods Integration Server
o WebMethods API Gateway
o WebMethods API Portal
o Elastic Search (DataStore)
o Kibana
- Experience in WebMethod software installation, configuration, tuning and administration
- Team player - ability to assist and train other team members
- Demonstrated knowledge and working experience in a Linux OS environment.
- Good UNIX scripting knowledge is required
- Good knowledge of Oracle Databases, with hands-on SQL and PL-SQL coding
- Knowledge API communication protocols (REST, SOAP….)
Desirable:
· Knowledge of working within the Defence sector would be a significant advantage.
· Experience of working within a matrix management environment and a large-scale, complex international organization, but also within small teams, would be advantageous.
· Working knowledge of software version control concepts and change management processes
· Working knowledge of UNIX shell scripting
· Understanding of authentication and authorization security concepts
The current work locations are Milton Keynes or Bristol with the ability for full hybrid working for the right candidate. The role may require limited travel within the UK (exception only).
