The Trendsetter - You will be given creative freedom across our new and exciting series of digital products that will bring together life science communities through compelling science-based webcasts, virtual events, digital publications, podcasts, videos and other content-marketing programs. You will be given editorial autonomy to research, discover and build upon the hottest topics in your area to create and curate high quality content. You will take the lead in delivering content marketing programs through multiple channels around our face-to-face events as well as onsite. You will identify and recruit recognized experts and the next generation of industry pioneers to participate in discussions and provide thought leadership across multiple platforms.
SCOPE OF INFLUENCE
- External Client Group: Speakers, Attendees, sponsors, supporting organization (publications/associations)
- Internal Client Group: Portfolio Directors, Marketing, Business Development and Digital Delivery Team
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Program Development: Content and Development (70%)
- Conducts on-camera interviews & moderates sponsored programs: virtual and onsite
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders on sponsored content marketing programs
- Writes and produces commercially driven content for digital events, video & podcast programming, liaising with senior industry experts, analysts and practitioners on topic development
- Proof content for grammatical accuracy, clarity, completeness of content and copy edit where needed
- Review video content and record timecodes (cutsheets) and provide to video editor
- Ensure content is appropriate (educational/informative) for intended audience
- Hits key deadlines including research, draft programs, handovers, speaker recruitment, program sign off
- Serves as the project lead; works with different members of the cross-functional teams to ensure that objectives and deadlines are met or exceeded
- Develop a global network of industry contacts, speakers & key opinion leaders
Program Delivery and Execution (20%)
Support sales team as required including joining sales calls as required, providing guidance to sponsors to ensure standards of quality are met- Support marketing team as required including writing and/or proofing summary copy
- Support digital delivery team with program delivery
- Support speakers as required e.g. arrange and chair panel calls
- Work with customers through the review and approval process
Support/Other (10%)
- Participate in cross-departmental training and meetings and all deliverables associated.
- Attend training and conferences as required
- Willing to travel
- Perform adhoc duties as needed.
Four-year degree or equivalent experience in life sciences or a related field- Demonstrated analytical, research and commercialization skills along with experience working in a fast-paced environment where quick turnaround is key
- Must have strong project management skills
- Demonstrated skills in networking, building relationships and strong verbal and written communication abilities are necessary for success
- Impeccable copy writing and proof-reading skills
- Proficiency with social networking sites
- Must have superior organizational skills, along with the ability to manage multiple deadlines and projects. Must be able to respond to competing priorities, workflow and client changes in a fast-paced environment, while still meeting due dates.
- Excellent customer service skills and communication are required.
- Experience interviewing executives and moderating panels is a plus
- Experience working with virtual and digital products a plus
